A metal roof deck and a concrete-filled metal floor deck bear on a supporting steel beam with a continuous L5x3x1x1/4-inch angle. A concrete curb is located at the transition where specified by architectural drawings, maintaining an eight-inch maximum dimension from the beam centerline. The assembly is secured with three-sixteenth-inch fillet welds spaced at twelve inches on center and one-half-inch diameter deck-beam anchors spaced at eighteen inches on center.
