A kicker connection runs parallel to the flutes of a concrete-filled metal deck. A bent plate attaches to the underside of the deck using two three-eighths-inch diameter Hiliti KB-TZ2 expansion anchors with a two-inch embedment into the concrete fill. A one-quarter-inch thick by sixteen-inch long plate is provided at the concrete-filled deck where the kicker does not align with a low flute. The kicker angle is welded to the bent plate with a one-eighth-inch fillet weld at each end.
