A hollow structural section member hangs from a supporting beam via a half-inch thick plate sized to the beam width and secured with four five-eighths inch diameter A325 bolts on the beam gauge. The hollow structural section member connects to the column per plan with three-sixteenths inch fillet welds. A horizontal hollow structural section brace extends back to the column with three-sixteenths inch fillet welds, maintaining a seven foot six inch maximum dimension.
