A composite floor deck bears on a perimeter steel beam aligned with a grid line and cladding backup framing. A continuous bent plate caps the edge of the slab, which is reinforced with deformed bar anchors and diaphragm reinforcement. The composite deck spans in the opposite direction at similar grids, and the deck attachment is welded to the top flange. Below, a structural brace frames into the beam web, utilizing a stiffener plate at each brace and a continuous bent plate at the bottom flange. Field weld symbols and dimensions coordinate the attachment of the framing members and edge conditions.
