A wide flange beam connects to a hollow structural section column using a bolted shear tab detail. The top of the hollow structural section column receives a one-quarter-inch thick cap plate with a seal weld all around where applicable. Plate length, bolt sizes, and spacing are referenced to schedules and companion details in the drawing set. Field weld plates connect to existing beams as directed by the framing plan.
