Pad or strip footings are installed adjacent to mechanical service trenches over an approved subgrade and bedding fill. Compacted and tested approved backfill material surrounds the service line running below the footing zone of influence. Shoring is required for slopes steeper than one to one, adhering to the maximum ratio specified by the geotechnical consultant. Footing elevations must be lowered if necessary to prevent compromising the bearing conditions regardless of elevations noted elsewhere.
