A structural steel beam supports a depressed concrete slab with a minimum four-inch drop condition. A ledger angle supports the depressed slab edge, while a sixteen-gauge closure is provided where deck flutes run parallel in lieu of the ledger. Additional reinforcing matches the size and spacing of the adjacent slab at all edges of the depression.
