A concrete equipment pad sits atop a composite steel deck with a specified thickness 'T'. One-half-inch diameter expansion bolts with nuts are spaced at one foot four inches on center each way, with a minimum embedment of two and one-quarter inches. Alternatively, the contractor may use number four hooked rebar drilled and epoxied in place using Hilti HY-150 or approved equivalent in lieu of expansion bolts. A reinforcing schedule provides varying size and spacing options based on pad thickness, including number four bars at eighteen, sixteen, or twelve inches on center each way. The pad edge features a tooled finish and maintains a one-inch clear cover.
