A beam framing connection is supported by either a wide flange or a hollow structural section column. The assembly incorporates a three-quarter-inch plate secured by four three-quarter-inch diameter ASTM A325N bolts, with plate width sized as required or matching the beam flange width. One-half-inch stiffener plates are welded to each side of the beam web using three-sixteenth-inch fillet welds on three sides. The column connects with minimum welds per American Institute of Steel Construction specifications on web and flanges, with standard plan symbols provided for orientation.
