The top of a metal stud wall is constructed with six-inch metal studs per plan and a matching six-inch top track per plan. The wall is finished with five-eighths-inch gypsum board on the face. A one-by-six painted wood trim member is fastened horizontally across the top of the assembly, paired with a one-by-three painted wood trim member fastened vertically to the face.
