This concrete wall construction joint connects a first pour to a subsequent second pour with a roughened interface of one-quarter inch minimum amplitude. A continuous edge notch is formed along the joint, with form ties positioned three inches maximum below the interface. A continuous two-by-four wood member is placed at the joint and removed before the second pour, after which form ties are tightened. Continuous reinforcing steel extends through the joint.
