Typical cross bridging connections for open web steel joists supported by structural steel beams. The metal deck span direction varies over the supporting steel beam. Normal cross bridging is provided by the joist manufacturer using minimum 2x2x3/16 inch angles at each line of cross bridging. End bays are specified to have no cross bridging.
