The assembly consists of a one foot six inch long, six-inch diameter schedule forty steel pipe body capped with quarter-inch plate heads welded at both ends. A six-inch diameter sixteen-gauge funnel with a rolled top or welded quarter-inch diameter reinforcing rod is welded to a one-inch nipple connected to the top of the tank. The unit features a half-inch iron pipe size half coupling for structural support at the bottom and incorporates one-inch gate valves, a one-inch drain valve with a hose bibb connection, and piping arranged for chemical dosing. The entire feeder is installed with the top of the funnel positioned at a maximum of five feet zero inches above the finished floor.
