A structural steel framing connection utilizes a connection plate welded to the support and bolted to the supported beam web. The beam-to-column detail shows a wide-flange or hollow structural section column receiving a beam secured by a welded connection plate with a thickness determined per schedule. The beam-to-beam detail shows a supported beam featuring a top flange cope and a bottom flange cope where required, aligning with the face of the supporting member web at a half-inch setback. Fastener sizing, bolt counts, and connection plate lengths follow AISC Table 10-10a guidelines unless otherwise noted on drawings. Welds are specified per schedule at the connection plate interface.
