An edge beam sits atop a concrete column with edge beams framing into it from adjacent spans. A continuous 12-gauge bent plate is welded to the beam flange alongside a steel deck parallel to the edge beam. An angle measuring 4x4x1/4 inches is spaced at a maximum of 8 feet on center, with studs at 12 inches on center. A deck section or 16-gauge pan forms the concrete placement at the column line.
