Steel floor beams frame into the column flange using a single plate shear tab welded to the column and bolted to the beam web. The shear tab thickness equals the beam web plus one-quarter inch. Continuity plates are welded to the top and bottom flanges of the column, sized using the larger of flange thicknesses TF1 or TF2. The beam webs are fastened with bolts sized and spaced per structural notes, with a second row of bolts added as required. Welds at the continuity plates connect to the column flanges as indicated by standard welding symbols.
