A hollow structural section post measuring 6 inches by 4 inches by 3/8-inch thick is spaced at 8 feet on center along the deck edge. The post is capped with a 1/2-inch plate and connected between posts with a 6-inch by 6-inch by 1/4-inch hollow structural section rail member welded with a 5/16-inch fillet weld. The assembly anchors to a 1/2-inch by 12-inch by 1-foot-0-inch embed plate equipped with four 1/2-inch diameter by 2.5-inch studs at a 9-inch gauge.
