A steel beam supports the roof edge assembly carrying a steel deck above. A continuous one-eighth inch bent plate ties into the top flange of the steel beam with typical one-eighth inch welds spaced at three to twelve inches. The intersecting beam frames in with a bolted shear connection web plate.
