A round or pipe hollow structural section column is welded to a base plate of thickness 't' using a one-quarter-inch fillet weld on four sides, supported over non-shrink grout and four headed anchor bolts with oversized washers. Anchor bolt spacing and diameters vary by column size from four to eight inches in diameter per plan and schedule. Centerline dimensions establish anchor bolt layout and column coordinates.
