An open-web steel joist bears on a supporting steel beam with a deep joist bearing end secured by two one-half-inch diameter erection bolts. The supporting steel beam rests on a steel column via a steel cap plate. Beam web stiffener plates are welded to each side of the beam web. A steel deck spans across the assembly above. A stabilizer plate is provided at the column connection, with bottom chords left unwelded to the stabilizer plates unless noted otherwise.
