A concrete slab on metal floor deck bears over a steel beam framing into the flange of a steel column via a bolted shear tab connection. A deck support angle sized L4x4x1/4 by the column width plus two inches is welded beneath the slab edge with a three-sixteenths-inch fillet weld, with the horizontal leg clipped as required to clear the slab edge. A note specifies that for slab edges greater than twelve inches, detail four on sheet SE602 applies.
