An L3x3x1/4 continuous steel angle frames all sides of a cast-in floor box opening and supports the access floor tile. The angle is anchored back to the concrete slab with 1/2-inch-diameter headed anchor studs spaced at 18 inches on center. A 1/4-inch filler plate and a 1/4-inch clearance gap are provided at the tile edge. The assembly is secured with 1/8-inch welds.
