A corner connection between precast concrete panels uses embedded steel plates and welded anchorage. A 1/2 inch by 8 inch by 1 foot 4 inch plate anchored with three #6 reinforcing bars at 6 inches on center connects to the main precast panel assembly. A 1/2 inch by 5 inch by 1 foot 4 inch plate with three #6 bars at 6 inches gauge and a 3/4 inch by 2 1/2 inch by 1 foot 1 inch plate tie the corner elements together. Field welds are specified with 3/8 inch typical fillet welds and 1/4 inch fillet welds spaced at 12 inches. The joint is finished with welded wire reinforcement (4x4-W2.1xW2.1 WWF) and filled with grout after welding.
