A monolithic concrete slab and downturned beam assembly features continuous longitudinal reinforcement and beam stirrups and ties sized per schedule. The concrete slab and reinforcement are specified per plan, with the top of slab elevation referenced accordingly. The downturned beam includes standard three-quarter-inch chamfers at bottom corners and maintains a typical one-and-one-half-inch clear cover for reinforcement.
