A pipe passing through a concrete wall requires a minimum clearance of four inches from the bottom bar and six inches from the top bar. Two number five reinforcing side bars, each six feet long, are placed at each face of the wall adjacent to the opening. The pipe is wrapped with one inch of foam insulation.
