A structural steel column bears on a steel base plate anchored to a concrete footing. A one and one-half inch layer of non-shrink grout fills the space beneath the base plate. The surrounding concrete slab on grade includes a concrete blockout detailed per typical details. A plumbing line passes through the assembly with a twenty-four inch minimum clearance coordinated per plan.
