A stepped concrete slab transition bears on wide flange steel beams supporting a metal deck assembly. Continuous concrete slab reinforcement and hooked bars extend through the step drop. Slab-to-slab dowels are provided across the joint, with size and spacing matched to the slab on metal deck reinforcement.
