A heavy steel column base plate connection is anchored by six anchor bolts with custom plate washers measuring one-half inch by four inches by four inches. The base plate is fabricated from two-inch thick steel with a yield strength of fifty ksi. Fillet welds of one-quarter inch size secure the column profile to the base plate as specified per AISC standards. Column dimensions and orientation are coordinated per the structural column schedule and framing plans.
