A structural steel column features a T2 cap plate set at one half inch thickness unless noted otherwise and extending one half inch minimum beyond each side of the column. T1 stiffener plates are welded near side and far side to the supported framing member flanges using specified fillet welds. Bolt spacing Pf equals bolt diameter plus three quarters of an inch with a one and one half inch minimum. Additional plate extensions are provided at specific detail locations.
