A weldable prefabricated roof tie-off anchor is welded to a 1-inch by 10-inch base plate with 5/16-inch fillet welds. The base plate bears on a structural steel beam and is secured with 5/16-inch fillet welds. A full depth stiffener plate measuring 3/8-inch by 3 inches is welded to the beam web with 1/4-inch fillet welds on three sides. The maximum working load capacity for the tie-off assembly is 5000 pounds with a maximum height of 2 feet zero inches.
