This connection details a structural angle brace secured to the underside of a concrete slab on metal deck. An angle member connects via a gusset or base plate measuring 1/4 inch by 15 inches by 1 foot 3 inches, anchored into the deck flute using four 3/4 inch diameter expansion anchors with a 3 1/4 inch embedment at 12 inches on center. A structural angle leg size 6x4x3/8 by 1 foot 0 inches welds to the plate with 3/16 inch fillet welds. Waterproofing must be maintained between the anchors.
