Jamb studs sized per schedule connect to the sill member using either a welded or screw-fastened configuration. The welded connection utilizes one-eighth inch fillet welds top and bottom, with field-weld flags indicated at the intersections. The alternate connection uses number eight sheet metal screws each side, augmented by cut and bend tabs top and bottom as shown.
