Edge framing and connection assembly for a concrete-filled stair landing bounded by C8x11.5 steel header and rear channels with a steel plate edge form and bottom plate, featuring mitred corners at the steel channels and edge plates. A 10-gauge steel plate closure is welded to the channels and angle. The structural steel framing is anchored to the face of the concrete wall using an L4x4x3/8 angle secured with 5/8-inch by 6-inch Hilti KB-TZ wedge anchors providing a 4-inch minimum embedment. Joint sealant and backer rod are provided at the wall interface, and a 1/8-inch per foot slope is specified for the landing concrete fill.
