A wide-flange steel beam supports steel joists per plan beneath concrete fill over metal deck. A continuity tie plate is detailed per plan at the top flange. An angle brace measuring 2x2x1/2 connects to the bottom flange of the wide-flange beam at every steel joist. Welds are specified as 1/8-inch welds with a 1-1/2 length, noted to be welded after dead load is applied at each end.
