The tilt-up concrete wall panel rests on a concrete footing via two shim packs per panel. A number eight drift pin, one foot long, is drilled and grouted into the footing at the exterior face of the panel, spaced eighteen inches minimum from each end. A one-inch grout pad is provided beneath the panel, with continuous non-shrink grout required within thirty-six hours of panel erection if point loading at the shim packs is unacceptable. A half-inch expansion joint separates the panel from the adjacent floor slab, which is reinforced as specified on the structural plans. The footing contains two continuous number four longitudinal bars and number three transverse bars spaced at thirty-six inches on center.
