New concrete footings tie into existing footings using epoxy dowels whose number and location match the new reinforcement. The new top and bottom rebars extend into the existing concrete with embedment depths of six inches at number four bars, eight inches at number five bars, and twelve inches at number six bars. Standard lap lengths for top and bottom rebars measure two feet zero inches for number four bars, two feet six inches for number five bars, and three feet zero inches for number six bars.
