Steel beams connect to a structural steel column utilizing a top cap plate and bolted web connection plates. The cap plate thickness is sized using the larger of flange thicknesses TF1 or TF2 per typical details. Bolted connections are provided in multiple rows with quantities sized per plan and general notes. Clearances and tolerances are specified at the beam ends relative to the column centerline.
