A steel truss girder is supported by a column utilizing a seven-eighths-inch by eight-inch by thirty-six-inch Grade 50 knife plate. The connection is secured with four three-quarter-inch diameter machine bolts, with bolt size or grade subject to increase for wind uplift as verified by the joist or girder manufacturer. A three-quarter-inch by fourteen-inch wide plate and a three-quarter-inch by six-inch by zero-foot-six-inch plate are integrated into the joint with typical fillet welds, leaving specific areas left unwelded to the girder as noted. A steel joist sits above where occurs per plan.
