Steel open-web joists bear on a steel column sized per plan, secured with a three-eighths-inch plate measuring four and one-half inches by twelve inches or a three-eighths-inch bent plate per roof slope. A three-by wood nailer is attached above with anchor bolts. Welds include one-quarter-inch and one-eighth-inch typical fillet welds with field weld indicators. The steel column features a top bearing plate connected with anchor bolts.
