A WT structural shape frames into the top flange of a wide flange beam, secured with a three-quarter inch fillet weld spaced at twelve inches on center. Quarter-inch stiffener plates are welded to each side of the WT web at four-foot intervals, beginning six inches from each end. The WT section and wide flange beam sizes are sized per structural plans.
