An acoustic plaster ceiling main runner is stabilized with four twelve-gauge splayed bracing wires featuring a minimum of four tight turns in one and one-half inches at both ends. A compression strut is provided at each of the four splayed bracing wire locations and secured to the main runner with two number ten sheet metal screws. The splayed wires angle at a maximum of forty-five degrees and maintain a maximum two-inch clearance from structural attachments. Wires extend to the structure above in accordance with related project details.
