A structural steel beam supports the floor deck with a bolted connection, featuring a full-depth stiffener plate opposite the beam connection. A continuous bent plate provides edge support, sized at 5/16-inch thick when the deck edge is less than 14 inches and 3/8-inch thick when between 14 and 18 inches. A supplier-provided drift clip connection accommodates vertical deflection and horizontal story drifts. A steel stud system extends upward to the parapet and downward past the window head, maintaining a 1-inch gap from the structural edge.
