Reinforced concrete wall openings require specific trim bar configurations based on wall thickness and opening arrangement. For eight-inch walls, two number five bars extend four feet minimum beyond the edge of the opening. Ten to twelve-inch walls utilize two number six bars, sixteen-inch walls use two number seven bars, and twenty-inch walls require two number eight bars. Standard hooks are used where full embedment is not possible. Where the jamb is less than two feet, three ties are provided at eight inches on center.
