Concrete masonry unit wall corners require specific horizontal and vertical reinforcing bar placement to maintain structural continuity. Outer horizontal reinforcement wraps around the corner with standard laps, while inner horizontal reinforcement utilizes standard hooks turned down. Vertical reinforcing bars are placed on the inside of the horizontal reinforcing layers, with four extra typical vertical bars provided for anchorage at the corner. Horizontal reinforcing dowels with standard hooks tie the intersecting courses together.
