Short diagonal braces intersect at a wide flange beam with a defined work point along the beam centerline. The horizontal leg of the angle is mitered while the vertical legs below are trimmed. A five-sixteenths inch fillet weld with a length of four inches is specified typically. Maximum one-inch clearances are maintained at the intersection.
