A cantilevered steel floor beam connects to the web of a supporting steel beam using a one-half-inch shear tab. Three seven-eighths-inch diameter high-strength bolts secure the web of the framing beam to the shear tab on each side. A five-sixteenths-inch fillet weld attaches the shear tab to the supporting member. Complete joint penetration welds and standard weld access holes are provided at the beam flanges.
