A sloped metal roof deck spans across structural steel beams, supported by steel shim plates where required. Five-eighths inch diameter puddle welds attach the deck to the perpendicular beams at every flute and to the parallel beams at twelve inches on center, supplemented by top seam welds spaced twelve inches on center. A three-sixteenths inch fillet weld secures the connection. The perimeter beam utilizes an angle shim matching condition three.
