A hollow structural section column is welded to a half-inch base plate with a five-sixteenths fillet weld. The assembly is secured using half-inch diameter by three-and-three-quarter-inch embedment expansion anchors. A contractor option permits substituting cast-in-place anchor bolts matching the diameter and embedment depth.
