An edge of deck connection at both a column flange and a column web uses a three-eighths-inch bent plate or angle. The bent plate is secured with two fasteners per angle and welded with three-sixteenths-inch fillet welds on both sides. A beam per plan frames into the column, and the edge plate terminates at the inside face of the column when the clearance is less than one inch. At concrete fill locations, additional reinforcing bars are provided per sheet S703.
