An eighteen-inch by eighteen-inch concrete tie beam is reinforced with two continuous number six longitudinal bars and number four ties spaced at twelve inches on center. The adjoining slab on grade thickness and reinforcing are installed per plan or per landscape and civil specifications where applicable. A dimension of eighteen inches is specified for both the width and depth of the tie beam cross section.
